In my opinion, "Abundantly Clear" is well written and a respectable first effort. The 42 poems, written over a span of years, range from whimsical to thought provoking.Matthew has a keen wit and a unique insight into the human condition.
In "Abundantly Clear", he leads you deftly from laughter to rumination, and perhaps - a tear. I believe most readers will find something that speaks directly to their spirit.

This book of poems was fascinating to read. I found myself on many of the pages. Questions I'd had, thoughts I had, and thoughts I should have had.
The poem "Getting Back on Track" was one of my favorites. We all know that contnuing down a dangerous path is not the best thing, but in his poem you see how easy it is to keep on a damaged track while trying to salvage dreams from nightmares. The analogies are easy to relate to, and thought provoking.
I look forward to many more books from Mr. Presley. His energy and insights are very down to earth and readable.. he makes reflection of the soul enjoyable.
